God’s purposes for marriage- Day 2

1    Companionship:  Genesis 2:18

A companion is someone that travels with you or spends a lot of time with you.

It is someone who shares in your work, pleasure and sadness.

Life is a journey that can not be travelled alone. God had this idea in mind that is why He said in Genesis 2:18 “its not good for man to be alone” it is not good for man to travel this journey alone. It will be good for him to have someone to share his works, pleasure and sadness with. This explain why He didn’t ask man to find companionship among any of the animals he help named. But instead He got man to fall in a deep sleep and He made out of man’s rib a helper, someone to travel this life journey with him.

A man without a companion can not fulfill his or her destiny.

Jesus had the Holy Spirit as companion when he walked through this earth.

He was not able to enter into His ministry until the Holy Spirit descended on Him after He was baptized by John ( John 1:32-33, Luke 3:22)

Jesus knew the importance of companionship that was why he never sent the disciples alone.  Luke 10:2 : After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. I believe that in this present dispensation the husband and the wife is the two by two Jesus is sending into the cities and places He Himself is about to enter. And the devil is aware of this that is why he is fighting marriages .

I decree today that every attack of the devil concerning your marriage is destroyed in the name of Jesus!

Every delay of marriage has come to an end in your life this minute in the name of Jesus! Because companionship is needed in your life to fulfill God’s purpose for your life,

I decree that the right person for you , shall come your way this week in Jesus name!

For multiplication

Genesis 1:27-28: So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created them . Then God blessed them and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it;

Multiplication is also one of the purpose for which marriage is instituted by God.

Apart from procreation which is having  children . God’s intention for a husband and wife is also for them to join forces together and  multiply their efforts. Meaning if  a man use to chase a thousand while he was  single, he is expected to put ten thousand to flight together with his wife once he is married.

God expect multiplication spiritually, physically and financially in the lives of every married couple irrespective of were they are and were they are from.

This is the favor the book of proverbs talks about when it said “ who ever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtain favor from the Lord.

The grace of God in a man’s life automatically increase once he gets married.

God never said to Adam alone before the arrival of Eve to be fruitful! He only said be fruitful once Eve came into the picture.  

Marriage as an Institution- Day 1

                                        

 Marriage is one of the oldest institution introduced to man by God Himself. It is used by God to explain to us how the Church functions. Jesus been the head of the church while every one born again  through the name of Jesus are members of the body .
Marriage as an institution was introduced to man by God for the purpose of teaching man how to multiply through the coming together of a man and a woman in unity. (Amos 3:3)



Day 1 - What Is An  institution?
English Dictionary defines it  as : The building used by organization etc founded for a particular purpose, Especially care of people , or education. An institution is a structure or constitution put in place to facilitate a particular idea or culture.
God’s idea for marriage is stated clearly all through the scripture.
His idea is a woman for a man. Genesis 2:18
From the beginning God has never supported or encouraged polygamy ( A man with more than one wife) Or polyandry ( A woman with more than one husband)
  
For a marriage to survive the test of time it must be founded on the principles of GOD who is the author.
There is no where in the entire bible were God instructed any one to go and have a concubine outside the matrimonial home. Lots of people use King Solomon as an example of one who had more than one wives and concubines. True , but it was not part of God’s plan for him, neither was God the one  who instructed him to do that.  As a matter of fact this act of his brought about his down fall. 

The issue of Abraham  having a child (Ishmael) with Hagar Sarah’s maid can’t also be use to justify the practice of polygamy among Christians as it was not God who gave Hagar to Abraham as a wife , but Sarah why trying to help save the problem of her childlessness with Abraham.

This same act of Sarah is the reason for the Islamic nation today.
Note: Every time we try to go contrary to God’s will concerning issues He has put in place, we ended up creating troubles for our selves. So it’s better and more safe to always keep to God’s instruction regarding things that pertain to our lives.
When it comes to marriage we should be careful not to confuse our human culture with that of God’s intention and purpose.

 Polygamy and polyandry are results of human culture. It was  and still not God’s intention for any man or woman to be involved in either of these. It is impossible for a man to love two women equally or for a woman to love two men equally. If it was possible God would have made two women and presented them to Adam instead of Eve alone. 
Contrary to the world’s opinion marriage is not a contract, but a covenant and the penalty for breaking covenants is always death. It might not occur instantly but will definitely occur.

The devil is aware of this that is why he gets people to compromise in their marriages so he can plague them with the plague of death and if they refuse to turn back to God and make things right with their spouse they will eventually lose their lives.
Deuteronomy 17:17 highlights God’s disapproval regarding the issue of a man having more than one wife because He (God) instituted marriage so we can have a glimpse of how He intends to relate with the children the  blood of Jesus  has afforded Him

Reality Check

The kingdom of God is at hand, time is running out, wasted time. Let those in the house of God return to God & repent, the world is waiting for the sons of God to return to God, the world is waiting for the sons of God to manifest. Let’s not get carried away & found wandering by falsehood & deceit. The days are evil, redeem your time, don’t be led astray by temporal treasures & forfeit your eternal inheritance with Christ. This earth & all that’s in it will perish only those who does the will of God shall remain. Let the true believers be set apart & be examples to those around them. We are representatives of a holy kingdom that cannot be corrupted by evil therefore let’s examine ourselves are we worthy of the crown of life? Do we meet all the requirements expected of us? Are we living by the standard that Christ has raised for us? Can we live above temptation? Or do we succumb to it?

What needs to be pruned in us? Let’s lay our lives down & lose it for Christ’s sake. It is time we anchor deep into God’s word & live by example. Many has been led astray by fables, flattery & false doctrines, let’s remain in the true vine & not be deceived. Salvation is personal, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Only God can draw men to Himself by his Spirit. Therefore let God deal with all those who have taken His grace for granted. The gospel gives each person a choice. Repent or perish!!!!

Put Your Foot Down

Upon entering the Promised Land and encountering five well-entrenched kings, God told Israel, '...Do not be...dismayed...' (v.25 NKJV). 

The word 'dismayed' implies being 'torn down by fear' and 'falling apart.' Today satan wants to tear you down by robbing you of your peace, your joy and your confidence. He will keep pouring on the pressure in hopes that will fall apart

 That's why God told Joshua to bring each king out of the cave and deal with him decisively by standing on his neck and then hanging him on a tree. Satan works through our five senses but God has given us a sixth sense: faith. 

The Bible says, 'We walk by faith, not by sight' (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith says, 'In spite of what I see, in spite of what I hear, in spite of what I feel, in spite of what I taste, in spite of what I smell, I believe everything's going to be all right because God is with me.' Your senses, which are susceptible to all that's going on around you, are faith-killers. And unless you put them under your foot they will steal your dream, your confidence and everything else God has promised you. Emotions are problem-driven, but faith is purpose-driven. If you allow your emotions to rule your life you will be up one minute and down the next. You say, 'But I thought life is supposed to be an up and down experience.' No, God's plan for you is to get down on your knees to pray, then get up in faith and do what He has told you to do.

Feeding Your Soul

Just as the fruits of the earth nourish the body, and causes health and growth on earth, the Word of God is Revelation to the Spirit and produces health and growth in the Kingdom!
