Make Your Thought Count

Commit your works unto the Lord, and your thoughts shall be established. Proverb 16:3

How amazing this sound! You mean my desires which inspire the content of my thought will be established if I commit my thoughts unto God?

That is precisely what the word is saying, for your thought to hold water you need to commit your works unto Him. You are a product of your thoughts and as a child of God , God desire that you end up well hence He gave you the opportunity to bring your works before Him so that He can establish it. You might want to ask why my works instead of my thought? 

 The truth is every man’s work is a finished product of their thoughts so through our works He can determine our thoughts. Not every of our thoughts are God's plan for our life that is why He wouldn’t establish just any thoughts. 

In Philippians 4:8 Paul gave us an insight concerning what should be the content of our thoughts. It is very important to know that a good thought does not equal God's thoughts, but a God thought will definitely produce good result. 

Am sure you have failed in something you thought was an excellent idea and was convinced that God was in it because you prayed about it.

To make your thought count is to have God ok it. And God will only ok thoughts that serve His purpose in your life.

To commit your works unto God is to allow your thought which is the raw material of your works to be inspired by the word and Spirit of God.

It is to make God's will your number one priority in any of your life venture.

How to achieve this:

1. Make the word a daily food.

2. Pray in tongues daily and regularly and especially times when you don’t seem to know what God's will is concerning a particular issue facing you.

The Blessing of Faithful Obedience

Hebrews 11:7
It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. 

We learn from Noah that it is possible to remain faithful and pleasing to God even in the midst of a corrupt and sinful generation. Surely it wasn't easy for Noah, but he found favor in God's eyes because of his remarkable obedience.

God blessed and saved Noah, just as he will faithfully bless and protect those of us who follow and obey him today. Our call to obedience is not a short-term, one-time call. Like Noah, our obedience must be lived out over a lifetime of faithful commitment. Those of us who persevere will finish the race.

Become Jesus' Spokes person

What I tell you in darkness , that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.   Matthew 10:27

This words where directed to the disciples and not to the multitude. He was not talking about one of his numerous messages preached in front of a large congregation  Neither was he talking about any of his public display of the supernatural.

As I read through this passage, what comes to mind is intimacy. The kind of intimacy that makes one trust you with his or her most valuable secret. Jesus was telling his disciples here based on His relationship with them, what ever I tell you in the absence of the multitude be sure  to say it in their presence.
He desired  for  the people to know what he was telling the disciples , but at that point in time they where not really mature enough to handle it so he decided to whisper it in their  ears while at the same time instructing them to make sure they make it public.

Many of us today find our selves in this same position where we have heard from God during our quiet time , but don't know what to do . Some of us believe that if God can disclose it to us then surely He must have done the same to other brethren. The truth is some of our brethren are yet to reach that level where they can actually hear and understand God clearly hence God decided to use you as His Spoke person. He trusted in your ability to go public with that piece of revelation He just dropped in your spirit while you meditated on the word and wait on Him.

He wishes every born again child could hear and understand Him when he speaks, but unfortunately some are still growing  and He is counting on you to pass the message across to them in the way they would be able to comprehend it. So friends be aware that its time to go public with that revelation God has dropped in your heart. there are people out there who will only understand the mystery of  God's love from your mouth.

Moses was God's spoke person before the congregation of Israel. We saw all through the exodus of the Israelite how God would call Moses aside to instruct him on what and how to lead the people while they wondered in the wilderness. The truth is they were all God's children , but not all of them understood God's ways. Moses, He showed His ways, but the congregation of Israel He showed His act.  Lets step up  and take on the role of mentor-ship. lets not assume they have an understanding of everything just because they are now born again. while we await their sensitivity and maturity in the Spirit lets be God's spoke person unto them.              

The world needs to know about  that encounter you had with Him few days, weeks and even months ago. May be that is what they have been waiting for to be convince that Jesus truly saves .

Jesus  said to them preach it on the housetop! go public with it. Christianity is influencing others to see Jesus just as He is, hence its not passive, neither is it convenient.

The Strength to Forgive

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. - Matthew 6:14

Have you ever noticed the presence of that little two-letter word in the Lord's prayer? It says "And forgive us of our sins as we forgive those who sin against us." Did you catch that? The word "as" implies that we cannot be forgiven until we offer that same forgiveness to others. In case we miss the "as," Jesus makes it very clear in the next verse: "But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." (Matthew 6:15)

Forgiving someone who has treated you poorly, said evil things about you, even broken up your family, is a very difficult thing to do. It takes Godly intervention to truly offer forgiveness to people who have deeply wounded you. But God commands us to do so, and God would never command us to do anything that He wouldn't provide the ability to do. 

Right now, pray for God to give you the strength to forgive those who have hurt you. Not only will God give you the power to do so, but He will also empower you supernaturally to love them, even though you hate what they did. Remember, bitterness is the poison we swallow, hoping the other person dies. Enjoy the release of this terrible burden by experiencing the cleansing power of forgiveness.

Never Lose Sight of Love

Psalms 21:7 "For the king trusts in the Lord, and THROUGH the steadfast love of the Most High HE SHALL NOT BE MOVED."

On Monday night I had a vision of a small piece of paper with 'love' written in the middle. To the left of 'love' was drawn a vertical line which divided the word 'love' from the word 'time' & on top of the word 'love' was a horizontal line which divided 'love' from the word 'situation'. Not understanding I asked God what it meant & He said...''Love is not accountable to time or situation.''

What we often miss in our daily lives is the love of God...

The love of Christ is so vast, so powerful that 3 nails couldn't stop it. It is so potent that a crown of thorns & 39 lashes on the back couldn't bruise it. It is so loud that even death couldn't & wouldn't soften it...there's only one reason that Christ came...in love.

Today family, don't become so wrapped up in your situations that you lose sight of love for love has more power. Let the love of God change your situation and don't let the situation change your love for God. Let the love of God motivate you and guide you because that's all God wants you to know...that He loves you.

1 Corinthians 13:8- "Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away."
